Today we introduce you to…

Jade Hang

Our Tustin Shop Manager.

Born and raised in Orange County, she grew up surrounded by food, family, and hospitality. With a large extended family on both sides, many of her earliest memories were formed around kitchens and dinner tables where food was how love was expressed.

Her grandparents owned a Vietnamese restaurant, and her father sold bagels and bread at the Orange County Market Place, where she spent weekends helping customers, handing out samples, and learning the importance of community through food from an early age.

“This WAS the start of my hospitality career for sure.”

She joined Rye Goods in August 2022 after being a longtime customer of the original Lido location. When the bakery announced it would be opening its Tustin shop alongside an expanded coffee program, she jumped at the chance to be part of it.

Since then, she has helped support the growth of the company through a role that shifts daily — from serving guests and making coffee to training team members, coordinating operations, and developing seasonal drinks for the menu.

“I feel lucky in this role because I get to exercise both my creativity, as well as my love of structure and need TO USE my analytical brain.”

More than anything, it’s the people that keep her coming back. Through Rye Goods, she has built lifelong friendships and found joy in becoming part of guests’ everyday routines and rituals.

Outside of work, she spends her time exploring new restaurants, bakeries, coffee shops, and traveling whenever possible. She also has a passion for photography, art, live music, and discovering new creative experiences.

At home, Rye Goods remains part of her daily life, from keeping the country loaf stocked in her kitchen to grabbing Basque cheesecakes and seasonal jams for family gatherings. During the summer season, her favorite time at Rye, you’ll usually find her sipping an espresso tonic or cortado while enjoying the calm before the holiday rush begins.

Whether she’s developing seasonal drinks, connecting with guests across the counter, or sharing food with family at home, hospitality remains at the center of everything she does. Rooted in community, creativity, and care, her journey reflects the same values that make Rye Goods feel like home to so many people.
